Contact UsWhat Are Cosmetic Injections?
Cosmetic injections are typically used to replenish lost facial volume and even out fine lines and wrinkles. Our faces may lack fullness for a variety of reasons, but losing weight and aging are major contributors. Cosmetic Injections are an excellent, minimally invasive option for individuals wanting to achieve a more youthful-looking face. At Lazerdoc, there are a variety of cosmetic injections we have available that fall under the categories of neuromodulators and dermal fillers, including BOTOX®, XEOMIN®, Jeuveau®, RADIESSE®, BELOTERO BALANCE®, and Revanesse® Versa™. To find out which neuromodulator or dermal filler is right for you, we encourage you to make an appointment with Dr. Waage so she can help you make this decision.
What Are The Benefits Of Cosmetic Injections?

Am I a Candidate for Cosmetic Injections?
Cosmetic injections offer a variety of benefits to address a wide range of aesthetic concerns. Typical candidates want to smooth lines and wrinkles, restore areas of volume loss, or enhance their features, such as the lips and cheeks, without the cost and scarring risks associated with plastic surgery. Depending on your needs and goals, at Lazerdoc, Dr. Waage and her team can customize your treatment to achieve the best results.
The ideal candidates for injectable fillers would be anyone seeking to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines without undergoing a surgical facelift. In most circumstances, individuals who have recently lost significant amounts of weight have areas on their faces that are hollow and shapeless. These attributes make them great contenders for injectable fillers. Fillers are also an effective way to enhance volume in the lips and cheeks.
Patients who want to diminish Crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, or frown lines may be excellent candidates for wrinkle relaxers like BOTOX, Jeuveau, and XEOMIN. This can be a good cosmetic option if you are bothered by noticeable "11" lines between the eyes (glabellar lines) that lead to a worn-out or aging look. Wrinkle relaxers have gained favor with younger individuals, as well. Even though people between the ages of 20 – 30 may not yet present with the early signs of aging, wrinkle relaxers may be used as preventive options to head off the natural process of aging by temporarily reducing or delaying the development of dynamic wrinkles. People with certain allergies, an active infection, diabetes, thick or sensitive skin, or muscle weakness may not be good candidates for BOTOX. During your consultation, we will review any relevant medical history to ensure that you can enjoy the many benefits that cosmetic injections provide.
How Do Cosmetic Injections Work?
If you are getting a wrinkle relaxer, it will temporarily freeze the facial muscle that causes fine lines with a purified strain of botulinum toxin type A. As for a dermal filler, this treatment works by filling in sunken or hollowed areas. Before your cosmetic injections, Dr. Waage will have a one-on-one consultation with you to gain insight into your aesthetic goals and decide which products may best meet them. At the time of the actual procedure, she will use a topical numbing cream to ease any discomfort from the injection. Typically, Dr. Waage combines botulinum toxin, fillers and medi-threads (PDO threads) to create her own trademark Non-Surgical Face Lift, as a complete non-surgical alternative to a traditional facelift.
What to Expect After Cosmetic Injections
Dr. Waage can provide detailed information about how to care for your skin after cosmetic injections. Generally speaking, patients should avoid direct sun exposure and strenuous exercise as this may increase side effects like swelling and inflammation. Any side effects that do occur should dissipate within a short period. It is important to note that results from cosmetic injections are not immediate and can take up to 2 weeks for the full effects to be seen. Lazerdoc also offers various skincare treatments to further enhance the longevity of your injections.
Lazerdoc Reviews
The whole team here made me feel very welcomed! I will definitely be back and I’m glad I found them!
The care, precision, and professionalism with which Dr. Waage and her staff took to help me to achieve my goals was nothing short of exemplary! Prior to my procedure, I had been to many consultations with different med spas and Lazerdoc was the only practice that truly listened to my needs/concerns while keeping the process simple. It's been nearly 2 months post-op (BodyTite/Morpheus8/EvolveX) and I'm still in love with my results! I feel so grateful to have found them and wouldn't want to go anywhere else!
I cannot say enough great things about Dr Leah and her staff. I highly recommend Lazerdoc!

About UsCosmetic Injections FAQs
How do I know which injectable filler is right for me?
The type of injectable filler used for your treatment will be based on the area being treated and your desired result. Depending on if you want to address fine lines or you want to create plumper lips, your injector will ask about your goals before determining the correct filler for you. Since there are so many types of fillers on the market, it may be difficult to identify which is ideal for you, so we work hard to make sure you get your best results by choosing the appropriate injection for your needs.
What is the difference between wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers?
Wrinkle relaxers, like BOTOX, adress lines and wrinkles (especially on the brow and in the corners of the eyes) by relaxing the movement of facial muscles. Fillers add volume to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and certain types of scars. Injectable fillers may also be used to add more volume to your cheeks and lips as well as to rejuvenate the hands.
How long will the results last?
The longevity of your results will be dependent on the type of filler used and the area(s) treated. In some patients, results may last for a year, while others might want another treatment after three months. Follow-up treatments can be performed at our practice in order to sustain your results.
